There is a few secrets in The Island, or something that looks like secrets, basically just hidden things that I found that weren't in plain sight. I will list them here.

Water Grate Secret

In the very first level you will find a body of water as soon as you step out of the cave. If you look around you should see a grate like shown in this screenshot. If you use the method of going under water and looking up while emerging you should be able to jump over it. Inside you will find some goodies including a .357.

Elevator Secret

In the 6th level if you move the elevator up, you will notice that underneath there is a couple health packs for you.

Fence Trick

In the last level you will notice there is a spot in the fence where the big crates don't block. If you move (very carefully) along the fence you will find you can shoot a bunch of unsuspecting zombies and the like without getting hurt. To maximize the use of this glitch you may want to rustle up all the monsters by going inside first, quickly running out as all the monsters spawn, and block the entrance with barrels. Then move along the fence and fire at all the monsters you just triggered.

Last Stash

Pretty much at the last part of the last level you will find lots of weaponry behind some crates in an alley. There isn't any real use for this new found weaponry (Combine Rifles) unless you quickly run there right away, break through the crates and start shooting at all the monsters that are coming for you. I am pointing at where the alley is in this screenshot.
