After you beat the game, you will notice there is now a triforce beside your character in the character selection menu. This game will now have a few changes. Here is a list of what playing the second time around changes in your game:

You keep:

Attack, life, magic levels
All spells
Upward and downward thrusts

You will lose:

Heart and magic containers
All items
All extra lives you might have gained
